Duane Michals is an American photographer that shoots multiple exposures as well as text and series of images. He combines his series of images with text and arranges them in a format similar to cinematic sequences, He's most known for his narrative series 'Things Are Queer' 1972, Michals first signified his creative work to photojournalism in the 1960's where he influenced the medium of photography to interpret narratives into multiple series of images. Michal's handwritten text adds another dimension to the images and their meanings rather than portraying merely explanatory, and gives voice the his strange thoughts which are also poetic as well as being quite humorous at the same time.
